Hi, I'm Thomas.

I'm Thomas Arni, a software developer, and foil.guide is my vibe-coded side project. I started foiling a few years ago and never really stopped. I only wing and pump, and the feeling of lifting off and gliding in silence still hasn't worn off.

What did wear off was the fun of researching gear. Every brand publishes its specs in its own format, on its own site, in its own units. Comparing a front wing from one brand against another meant a dozen open tabs and a spreadsheet. I wanted one place where wingspan, area, aspect ratio, weight and connection systems sit side by side, with a visible source for every number. So I built it.

foil.guide is independent. There is no affiliation with any brand, no sponsored placement and no affiliate links. The data comes from manufacturer spec sheets and product pages, and every entry shows where its numbers came from. Where something is missing or wrong, that's on me.
