Sonar S
North's Sonar stabilizers, mounted on top of the fuselage to avoid the front wing's turbulence and to pierce the surface first as an early breach warning. Prepreg carbon with a thin section; a larger stab means more front-foot pressure, and North recommends sizing down as front wings shrink. Fourteen sizes from 122 to 270, the S178 a flat, loose high-speed upgrade for the HA950 and smaller.
