Cape Town – Blouberg & Big Bay

The south-easter, nicknamed the Cape Doctor, blows 25–40 knots on many summer days along the Table Bay beaches, with cold Atlantic water and waves, and Table Mountain as the backdrop. Big Bay and Kite Beach host the Red Bull King of the Air. It is a strong-wind, big-air and wave destination for intermediate and advanced riders; beginners are taught at Langebaan or on lighter days at Big Bay.
