Langebaan

A long, shallow lagoon an hour north of Cape Town with warmer, flatter water than the city beaches and the same summer south-easter, typically 20–30 knots. Schools use it as the region's teaching ground, and Shark Bay is the main launch. Ideal for learning and flat-water progression; wave riders drive back to Cape Town.
