A long beach on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi where, at high tide, about 150 m of shallow, flat water lie in front of the shore before it drops off; at low tide it runs dry. The northerly to north-westerly Shamal blows from autumn to spring. A 4x4 helps, the sea shells are sharp and the high-voltage lines to the east must be avoided.
