Lobitos

A remote former oil town on Peru's north coast, south of Máncora, and a world-class left-hand point for surfers. The south-south-westerly blows side-off to offshore almost all the time, keeping the waves smooth but meaning a long swim if anything goes wrong, and there is a strong current; experts only, and surfers have priority.
