Neusiedler See – Podersdorf

Austria's steppe lake east of Vienna is nowhere deeper than about a metre, so Podersdorf offers standing-depth flat water across the whole spot, with 28 °C water in high summer. The best wind comes from the north and north-west, with spring and autumn the windy seasons; temperatures swing quickly, so both a shorty and a long wetsuit belong in the car. One of the classic Central European learning spots, and busy for it.
