Bali's wind spot: the south-east trade wind blows in the dry season over a reef lagoon on the island's east side, flat inside at higher tide and with reef waves on the outside. The tide range is large and the reef is shallow, so timing matters. Better for intermediate and advanced riders comfortable around reef; wind is moderate rather than strong.
