Puerto Rico – Isabela (Shacks)

A reef break on Puerto Rico's north-west corner, a surfing hotspot where winter swell runs from 3 ft to triple overhead. The east to north-east trade wind of 12–25 knots blows on about half the days in season, mainly December to mid-April, and is fluky on the inside. Sharp coral and urchins, a point that holds only a handful of riders and locals who come first: for expert wave riders only.
