A wide, shallow stretch of the IJsselmeer with knee- to waist-deep water for hundreds of metres, so falls are harmless and relaunches easy. Wind is frequent in spring and autumn and the spot is roomy even on busy weekends. One of the best places in Europe to learn to foil; advanced riders will find it flat and unchallenging.
