Croatia's most famous beach, the Golden Horn spit next to the town of Bol on the south coast of Brač, doubles as its most popular windsurf and kite spot. On most summer days a Maestral of around 15 knots builds in the strait between Brač and Hvar, ideal for relaxed freeride over shallow water with a light chop. Season April to October, best from May to September; a lively town with a picturesque backdrop, so expect company on the beach.
