Isla Blanca – Cancún

A huge, hip-deep saltwater lagoon in a nature reserve 25 minutes north of Cancún that works on any wind direction, with the ocean side as an alternative when the flat gets boring. Which corner is best depends on the wind: the kite camp has butter-flat water on north and north-east, La Punta works on everything, and on offshore east or south-east the water there goes glassy for learning new tricks and freestyle. Ideal for learning and progression, quiet and with few places to stay, so many riders commute from Cancún's hotels and nightlife.
