A silky-smooth, crystal-clear flat-water spot on the New South Wales coast three hours north of Sydney and 15 minutes from Taree, with lagoons, sand flats and plenty of riding areas that open onto the ocean, where impressive waves break close to a very long white beach. The south-east trade winds of the east coast blow most reliably from October to April at 15–25 knots. Some areas carry environmental restrictions, so check the signs; one of Australia's top destinations for all levels.
