Punta Cana – Cabeza de Toro

The resort coast at the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, less known for kiting than Cabarete but with consistent trade winds and warm water. At Cabeza de Toro the easterly blows side-onshore and builds through the afternoon to about 15 mph over a mile of shallow, flat water inside the reef, with bigger waves where it breaks. The beach is narrow and busy, so launching from the water is easier; watch the dive boats.
