A small fishing village on the north coast of São Vicente, ten minutes from Mindelo, that has become a popular kite spot. The north-east trade wind blows from November to June over flat water to small waves, good for freestyle; nearby Baía das Gatas on the north-east coast is a sheltered, shallow lagoon for learning and practising tricks.
