The windiest corner of the Bodrum peninsula, near Akyarlar, where the summer north-westerly accelerates round the headland. A small sandy kite beach west of the windsurf beach has a shallow semicircle about 70 m out, then flat to choppy open water; with the wind blowing out to sea, only confident riders should go far. The afternoon wind is most reliable in July and August.
