A tidal lake a short distance inland from the west coast of Vancouver Island, reached by logging roads. Whenever it is sunny to the east, a thermal of 15–30 knots, usually 18–25, pours up the lake from the south-west; in summer it blows about 80 percent of the time, which makes it one of Canada's most reliable wind spots. Lake chop and small waves; launch from the campground beach.
