Canada's small maritime province. Kite Point, or Princetown Point, on Malpeque Bay near Kensington is the island's favourite spot, with flat, shallow water kept smooth by weed beds and a grassy rigging area; summer winds are south to south-westerly, spring and autumn bring northerlies. Souris Beach in the east, a former national windsurfing venue, has a big tidal bay with waves in south-easterlies.
