A small village of pebble coves on the Pelješac peninsula opposite Korčula, and Croatia's best-known wind spot: the thermal Maestral blows from the north-west from June to late August, setting in around noon and lasting into the evening at 4–5 Bft, roughly 15–20 knots. Mornings are lighter and suit beginners, afternoons bring chop for freeride and jumping in crystal clear water; schools and rental line the shore. Season April to October with the peak from May to September; an active local scene and a quiet village rather than a resort.
