Morocco's big beach resort on a 6 km bay, and the surf village of Taghazout just north. A gusty north-westerly thermal of 3–5 Beaufort picks up mainly in the afternoon, typically two to five windy days followed by a couple of calm ones, over chop and small waves in the bay; Taghazout has bigger waves for experienced riders. Avoid July and August, when the beaches are busy and there is no dedicated kite area.
