A small village with a couple of kilometres of wide, soft-sand beach 25 km south of Essaouira, impossible to crowd. The northerly trade wind, boosted by thermals in spring and early summer, blows side to side-offshore over mostly flat water; from October to April Atlantic storms bring excellent waves along the coast. Rocks only near the river mouth.
