Copenhagen – Amager

Copenhagen's local spots on the island of Amager. Sydvestpynten in the south-west has very flat water and standing depth for 500–700 m, ideal in the prevailing westerlies, next to a bird reserve that must be avoided. Amager Strandpark, five kilometres from the centre, has an artificial island with flat water in the inner lagoon and works best in north-east to south-east winds; bathing-season rules apply from mid-June to August.
