A laid-back Sinai town where a thermal wind funnels between desert mountains onto a shallow, sheltered lagoon with deep, flat water just outside. Cheaper and quieter than the Hurghada resorts, with excellent diving on rest days. Great for learning and flat-water progression in the lagoon; the wind can be gusty and there are no waves.
