Gqeberha – Sardinia Bay & Bluewater Bay

Port Elizabeth, one of South Africa's windiest cities, on Algoa Bay. In summer the wind blows 12–20 knots at least three to five times a week and regularly reaches gale force. Sardinia Bay south-west of the city has waves of 2–4 ft on one side of a sandbar and smoother water on the other, best at low tide in south-westerlies; Bluewater Bay to the north has flat water in the river mouth and lagoon and jumping waves outside.
