East London – Nahoon

A 1 km sandy beach at the Nahoon river mouth in East London. From October to March easterlies and north-easterlies blow on two or three days a week, 22–28 knots in October and November and 12–20 later in summer; the river and its mouth give flat water on an incoming tide, and waves of around 4 ft break a little further out. Keep out of the bathing area and listen to the lifesavers.
