Estonia's summer capital on the shallow Bay of Pärnu, with a long sandy town beach and water that stays shallow far out, choppy with small waves in south-east to south-west winds. During the swimming season, roughly mid-May to September, riding is limited to a 50 m wide zone on the left of the beach; outside it the whole beach is open.
