A 2 km beach with dunes on the Sligo coast, on Ireland's wild north-west. There is wind of around 5 Beaufort three to five days a week all year; west to north-east winds suit the ocean side, which works on all tides with varying swell and more of it at the northern end, while south-west to north suits the high-tide lagoon behind the beach, with flat, shallow water for learning.
