Denmark's Baltic island east of Sweden. Balka on the south-east coast has a 1.3 km sandy beach where onshore easterlies build choppy waves of 1–3 m with flatter water in between; Boderne on the south coast works in south to west winds with waves for experienced riders, though it can be closed for military exercises. Depressions bring the strongest wind in spring and autumn.
