The beach resort at the mouth of the Río Negro near Viedma in northern Patagonia. A huge sandy beach and big tides that expose some 100 m of extra beach give flat, choppy or wavy water depending on the wind; easterlies and north-easterlies are best, other northerly directions gusty. The season runs from October until May if the weather holds.
