Sulawesi's southern coast is windy enough to host Asia-Pacific's biggest wind farm, and the sandy lagoon at Jeneponto puts that wind to use: side-onshore from April to October, 20–35 knots in peak season and blowing on 80–100 % of days, from morning to dusk with cool nights. The lagoon stretches over 2 km of shallow, flat, clear water that works at both tides, glassy at low water and with small kickers at high, over a wide beach with room to launch. A dry-season spot with blue skies and 25–30 °C all year, far from the crowds; suits everyone from beginners to big-air and unhooked riders.
