A 600 m stretch of sand near San Giovanni Suergiu in south-west Sardinia that runs into a lagoon of crystal clear, mirror-flat water with barely any current, long traded among schools as a learning gem. It takes wind from every direction, Mistral, Ponente, Scirocco, Levante and Libeccio, and from spring the dominant Mistral is often boosted by a thermal that adds 5–10 knots. Season April to October; the safety net for first clean transitions and nothing for wave hunters.
