The Estonian capital's city beaches on Tallinn Bay. Stroomi, close to the centre, has white sand, a grassy launch and shallow water that stays small even in strong wind, the most popular place to learn; Pirita east of the centre has chop and small waves. Westerly to northerly winds work best; in the swimming season, roughly mid-May to September, riders use a 50 m wide zone on the left of each beach.
