Riding under the Golden Gate Bridge in a strong, gusty summer sea breeze, cold water, big chop and powerful tidal currents that can push you out to sea. It is spectacular and one of the sport's iconic backdrops, and it is not a place to learn. For advanced riders only; the Bay's flatter spots (Coyote Point, 3rd Avenue, Sherman Island) are where locals progress.
