A big crescent beach lined with hotels on Mauritius' east coast, facing a wide shallow lagoon with flat to choppy water. The south-east trade wind blows side- to onshore, best from June to October. The outer lagoon has sharp staghorn coral, and the reef pass to the left has a right-hand wave for surfers in the calmer summer.
