Probably Mauritius' biggest lagoon, on the south-east coast by the airport, with a wide beach of fine white sand. The water is flat in the south and gets choppier towards the channels in the north; it works in any wind from north round to south-south-east, when Le Morne does not. The south-east trade wind blows day and night from June to October. Launch away from the yacht club and beware of strong currents near the passes.
