The 6 km beach of Palma Bay next to the airport, with a kite launch on hard sand beside the harbour at Can Pastilla. From May to October an onshore thermal of 10–15 knots builds from midday, gusty at the launch; winter brings stronger, gusty west-south-westerlies with waves. The rest of the beach is packed in summer, so stay in the launch zone and out of the buoyed swimming areas.
