The long sandy beach south of Barcelona is the city's local spot, with chop and small waves in a south-westerly thermal of about 12–18 knots, most reliable in spring. Kiting is banned on the beach from June to September and there is a dedicated entry at the beach club, so this is a spring and autumn spot rather than a summer one.
