The prevailing easterly makes the wild east coast at Chen Río a wave spot, while the winter Nortes brought by cold fronts give choppy side-shore riding on the channel side near the Country Club. Fronts from December to April and the odd passing hurricane bring the strongest days; watch the reef, rocks and the channel current.
