A village on the south-west coast of Evia, a short ferry ride from Rafina near Athens. At the Great Sand Beach the Meltemi is boosted by thermal and venturi effects to 20–45 knots, typically 5–10 knots more than forecast, making it a strong-wind spot for intermediate and advanced riders from June to September.
