Tulum

One of the Riviera Maya's most beautiful beaches, below the Mayan ruins, with soft white sand and aqua water. Inside the reef, 600–800 m out, the water is choppy; with the right swell the reef break opposite the ruins has 5–6 ft waves. Winter winds from north, east and south average 17–25 knots, best in February and March. No kiting on the beach by the ruins: launch past Cabañas Paraíso or south of the fishing boats, leash required.
