Sydney – Botany Bay

Sydney's flat-water spots on Botany Bay, from Brighton-Le-Sands and Dolls Point on the west shore to Kurnell on the south side. The summer north-easterly and south-easterly average 12–20 knots, with a couple of 35-knot days a month. The tide runs hard at Dolls Point and beaches are packed from December to February, so launch south of the rock groyne, wear a safety leash (mandatory) and ride mid-week if you can; Kurnell works in westerlies.
