The beach east of Townsville airport in tropical north Queensland, rideable all year in winds of 15–30 knots, most often around 20. The wind is usually onshore and gets choppy when it is strong; depending on tide and direction the spot suits both beginners and experienced riders. Wear a stinger suit from November to May.
