A sheltered bay behind K'gari (Fraser Island) with several beginner spots, from Toogoom to the Urangan Pier. A sandbar just offshore keeps the water shallow and mostly flat at lower tides and choppy at high tide. The south-east to north-east winds average 15–25 knots from September to April; after that they turn westerly and gusty.
