Camber Sands

A long, wide beach backed by the only sand dunes in south-east England, with shallow water for the first 200 m and flat lagoons behind the sandbars at some states of the tide. In summer a light morning offshore breeze turns into a side-onshore south-easterly to south-westerly by about one o'clock, and there is wind about four days a week. The tide comes in fast; keep to the kite zone at the eastern end.
