São Miguel do Gostoso

A wide sandy bay in Rio Grande do Norte with side-shore wind from the right at 5–7 Bft from October to January, 26 °C water and a mostly sandy bottom. The conditions change with the tide: a standing area and relatively flat water at low tide, chop and a small beach break at high tide, a 1–2 m wave on the rock reef about 1 km out and, once or twice a week, a clean sandbank wave of up to 2.5 m. Suits every level and mixed-ability couples; wing, kite and windsurf each have their own space, and the town is small and quiet.
