The Hague – Scheveningen & Kijkduin

The Hague's city beaches. Scheveningen has a huge soft-sand beach and waves of around 2 m in strong south-westerlies, with a kite area north of the harbour mole and surfers riding between the moles; Kijkduin to the south has a long, wide beach with submerged breakwaters and currents, and at high tide a shallow strip near shore. Westerly depressions from autumn to spring; not for beginners.
