A seaside town on the Wash, one of the few west-facing beaches on England's east coast. At low tide a sandbar emerges offshore and the lagoons inside it are butter-flat and shallow; as the tide reaches the groynes it is time to pack up, while Old Hunstanton to the north is rideable at most states of the tide. Westerly depressions bring the wind; check in with the local club.
