Jericoacoara's quieter cousin two hours from Fortaleza, with the same trade wind reliability from July to December, close to 100 % in season, and gentler conditions: no violent gusts, steady wind from the morning on and a moderate wave. A curved bay enclosed by dunes gives four areas, sheltered flat water inside for beginners and freestylers, side to side-onshore wind and gentle waves in the main area, a reef at the eastern tip with ramps and easy wave riding for about three hours around high tide, and a huge flat kite zone downwind of the centre with a soft shore break. No roads and no mobile coverage, just a fishing village and a half-day buggy ride to Jeri.
