Lagoinha
A fishing village between Paracuru and Icaraizinho with a red dune above the beach and four different areas: the bay in front of the village with a small, orderly wave rarely over a metre and no rocks, the neighbouring bay upwind with a slow, drawn-out 1–2 m wave that runs out gently on the sand, a river mouth 12 km upwind where confident riders can kite 400 m inland on 50 m of flat river before a 12 km downwinder home, and the lagoon that gave the village its name, big enough for lessons and first long runs. Side-onshore wind from the right blows steadily, at times around the clock, with a very high probability from mid-July to the end of January and 50–60 % the rest of the year; the wind is a little lighter than in Jericoacoara. A relaxed combination spot for flat-water and wave lovers alike.
