Amsterdam's beach, thirty minutes by train, and host of the Red Bull Megaloop. There are two official zones, one by the beach house 'The Spot' in the north and one at the kite school in the south, with small to medium waves in winds from south-west to north-north-east and a strong side-shore current. September and October are best; July and August bring sun and easterlies. Bloemendaal to the north is narrow and unsafe in strong onshore wind.
